Roen Photography is based out of Grand Forks, ND but don't let my location stop you from contacting me, I travel all over North Dakota and Minnesota to shoot weddings and I would be more than happy to travel anywhere in the world to photograph your wedding day!

When it comes to style, I would say my work is a bit dramatic. The posing is classic. The color is rich and vibrant. I love depth and contrast and I'm not afraid to play with lighting . I truly enjoy what I do for a living and can't imagine doing anything else with my life. Whether you are looking for photography that is traditional and classic or something that brings us to a field in the middle of nowhere after sunset, I'd be happy to hear from you! 

 

Originally from Grand Forks, ND, I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a B.A. in Anthropology. Besides photography, I enjoy fishing, bonfires, chicken wings, wiener dogs, and international travel. I've had the opportunity to photograph some of the most incredible sites in the world from Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, ancient burial sites in Belize, and the city of Ancient Agora in Greece. 

 

In addition to being a portrait photographer, I am also an artist. In 2012 I was named the Grand Cities Emerging Artist and in 2013 I was chosen as a Mayor's Choice Artist. My work has also been featured in many art exhibits across North Dakota. A few examples can be found in the "Art" tab.
